Jim, I've been following your work for a while now, Circuit Skirmish being my favorite followed closely by Carl Spacedew. Well, I have to say that when I visited newgrounds just now, the first words out of my mouth were "No way...". I was absolutely thrilled to not only just see a continuation to Circuit Skirmish, but that it also got front paged, truly something this animation deserved! I am also thrilled and excited to hear that you also have at least another episode planned for development.
While watching this I certainly was most pleased to see that, despite your increased take on seriousness, that you still allowed yourself to keep some humor flowing throughout. Your execution of this and your animation style are truly something to be admired. It is this style that has your other animations, such as Carl Spacedew and The Camel Spider, nested within my personal offline collection :3
As with advancements with flash have improved, I easily noticed the increase in detail here in CS: Disk 1. Our Protagonist has gotten some more detailing while our Antagonists have had a complete modeling overhaul (either that or they're just new robots in general XD), most likely to make them look different since the older originals closely resembled the protagonist.
I thoroughly enjoyed the action contained within along with the subtle humor. When our Protagonist took shelter behind the cement barrier, I was honestly surprised not to see one of its antenna shot off like in the previous episode. I was completely expecting it, yet it never came along, which was a twist for me!
Loved it, along with everything else within, but there was just one thing that irked me about the flash. Near the end, when our mysterious character attempted to address the Protagonist, I felt that the voice acting could have used just a touch more feeling behind it, but other than that I really couldn't find a flaw at all! ^-^
All in all, truly another spectacular flash by you my good sir, and I await the climatic finish awaiting us all on Disk 2!
Wow thank you for your .02! Appreciated. You noticed a ton there. I'll definately take everything into consideration-- especially my good friends' voiceacting. I'll point a gun at him while he's voicing it. Again, thanks!
Short or not, I don't think it makes a difference when it comes down to the sheer sillyness of this flash. Not only that, but its cute to boot, what the hell is not to like about that eh?
The animation was very fluid and the art style was very well portrayed and executed. Like another commenter has mentioned, I feel this series could do well here on Newgrounds :3
Therefore, I am personally requesting to see more of this series. God knows what antics those two are going to get into, and rest assured I don't want to miss out on what it just might be!
To be completely honest I was a tad skeptical when I first saw this sitting on the front page, but my love for Megaman and things related of the sort drew me into it.
I must say that I am impressed with this animation...
Its hard to find a place to start for a more indepth review, but I must say that the animation style and fluidity as well as the Japanese voice acting drew me in. The art style itself reminds me of Viewtiful Joe to an extent as well as an anime who's name I have misplaced in my memory. Either way I still must say that such an animation talent is indeed impressive. The animation was well done and very fluid. There are even touches of 3D, which is a brave endeavor, yet were drawn nicely here.
Another thing that I must touch up on is the audio. The audio quality as well as the voice acting is unparalleled. Its honestly hard to find flashes of such great caliber that have effective voice acting and sound effects to match it. Another thing that I took great interest in was the music. Not only is the music well placed, but its up beat and energetic.
I feel the story line shows much promise, and it really grabbed my attention within those first few moments. If the story keeps advancing in this general direction and as long as it maintains this interesting dynamic (which I'm sure it will), rest assured that you will have me following its progression closely. To be completely honest, I already cannot wait for Episode 2.
However, there were a few things that seemed a tad off with the animation. One of the more obvious and apparent offsets about the flash was the subtitles, but such a thing is understandable. Hey, as long as you get a basic idea of what is going on, the subtitles are doing their job.
The other thing that struck me as odd with the flash would be when Joint-Sword is wrapping the gift. The way it was animated just was a trifle confusing, but regardless I don't think it was anything that detracted from the flash in a large way.
Overall, I say this flash will be something worth keeping an eye on, especially if you have a peculiar interest in Megaman and/or anime.
As I mentioned before in the title of my review, the movie was pretty short, but at 1MB I suppose it should've been expected. Still, I enjoyed watching this Flash Movie.
As I watched the animation, I was reminded a lot of Ren and Stimpy in terms of style. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not but I took as a refreshing splash of interest.
Still this was executed nicely, thanks for the laughter.
Just as freakin' random and crazy as your previous submissions. I was more fond of the mario one but all of them were pretty well done.
I wish I could think of more to say but I can't really seem to find those words right now. Good work though Ego, I look forward to your next submission.
First and foremost, I absolutely LOVE the intro pre-loader. Its simply one the most hilarious things I've ever seen!
Some of them were done pretty well and had good comedy to them, such as WonChop, JohnnyUtah, MindChamber, Catoblepas, and especially Stamper's!
However, some just stunk out loud and/or made no sense. I don't doubt their ability to use flash or anything, but god some were just terrible. Not to pick out any but MentosClock's were pretty terrible (most specifical the voice acting in his contributions). KIRBLINK's was pretty bad... 5 seconds or pretty much nothing.
MorrowDays' was... strange to say none-the-least. So was Tri-FusionMedia's. YoinK's was, annoyingly strange. Geh.
I love this dont' get me wrong, and like I've said before i do not doubt anyone's ability to utilize flash, but some things just needed work and/or just shouldn't have been in there period.
Thanks for submitting this though, there's some real comedic gold in here, just ignore the the crappier stuff.
